With the enlargement of power grid scale and the increasingly high degree of information technology, the State Grid Corporation to build the concept of" strong smart grid.". Intelligent substation is the important part of smart grid. With automatic control coordination control ability, comprehensive analysis capability is the transformer substation intelligent key equipment, intelligent monitoring, status maintenance is the development direction of intelligent substation.Hongqiao transformer substation intelligent transformation project is the State Grid Corporation of substation intelligent transformation project of the second batch of pilot project, through the intelligent transfomiation, will become Hongqiao substation construction of smart grid an intelligent node, improve the degree of automation equipment, prolong the inspection period, reduce the workload of equipment maintenance, improve operational efficiency; through the real-time control of equipment state, reduce the sudden accident, as well as for condition based maintenance to provide more timely and effective information of equipment status, in order to further explore the new situation of substation operation and maintenance mode to lay a foundation.Transmission and distribution equipment condition monitoring technology is a key supporting technologies and the core of the intelligent substation construction. This article take the Hongqiao substation intelligent transformation as the background, combined with a device of intelligent condition monitoring overall demand, study of transformer defects and malfunctions principle, analysis of transformer operating characteristics. On acount of the operation and maintenance and repair work requirements, use chromatography of dissolved gases in transformer oil monitoring and a modified three-ratio method, three-dimensional graphic method, David triangle method for the concentration of the gas sub-analytical processing and fault diagnosising. Using sound-electro detection monitoring to determine the amount of transformer partial discharge characteristics to and the type of discharge. In accordance with the relationship of the top oil temperature requirements and the load current and the oil temperature, and cooling fan cumulative running time as basically the principle of balanced to design cooler intelligent control system.
