Along with the planning and implementation of intelligent substation construction in ourcountry, online monitoring technology of primary equipment is turned into an important partof the intelligent transformation for substation. Since failure accidents such breaking downeven burning away are liable to occur because of overheat when the primary equipments ofimportance like bus bar, switch, high voltage switchgear, circuit breaker, capacitiveepuipment, arrester, transformer, power cable and so on are in these states of long-termoverload, loose connection, contact aging,ect, the key technology study of hot spottemperature on-line monitoring for primary equipment in intelligent substation is necessaryand urgent.According to “technical guide for smart substation” and other related standards, thisthesis focus on the research and design of hot spot temperature monitoring system forprimary equipment in accordance with the new system framework of intelligent substation,following the IEC61850standards, and integrating the technologies of communication,temperature transmitter, temperature alarm algorithm, monitoring center, ect. The system isapplied to intelligent substation, including on-line monitoring terminal of temperature inprocess level, on-line monitoring IED of temperature in bay level and monitoring center ofstation level.The designed on-line monitoring terminal of temperature in process level comprisestemperature sensor based on wireless network and on-line monitoring terminal of temperature.The temperature sensor of wireless network transmits the temperature value by radiocommunication of Zigbee and takes power with current transformer; the on-line monitoringterminal of temperature considering C8051f020as processor collects the monitoring datafrom temperature sensor of wireless network, and realizes functions of the local display, datastorage, history-data, warning alarm, ect. Besides, the method that takes power fromelectronic transformer has been proved to be safe and stable by the tests of getting power withwireless network sensors and temperature measurement accuracy, which is also turned out tobe high. On-line monitoring IED of temperature in bay level with double CPU structure ofDSP+ARM used as the core and auxiliary modules of periphery such as485bus, CAN bus,Ethernet communication, external storage, ect carries out the acquisition, analysis andprocessing of the data from on-line monitoring terminal of temperature, then does thewarning and alarm according to the primary equipment state with the temperature alarmalgorithm, finally, sends the temperature of the primary equipments and warning messages tomonitoring center with the protocol of IEC61850accurately and fast. In addition, theembedding complies with the ICD document of on-line temperature monitoring whichconforms to the standard of IEC61850.The devised system of hot spot temperature on-line monitoring for primary equipment inintelligent substation has already installed and been applied to the first renovation project ofsubstation intelligentialize in the power grid of huabei-the220kV hongqiao substation. Theresults of the overall debugging and testing on the on-line temperature monitoring system aregiven in the paper, it is obvious from the on-site operation data that the designed temperatureon-line monitoring system can gather hot-spot temperature state of primary equipment inreal-time and accurately, also has achieved the functions of intelligent on-line temperaturemonitoring for the primary equipment, as well as Intelligent warning and alarm.Therefore, itplays a positive and far-reaching role in advancing the intelligentialize level of substation andrealizing the state operation management of the substation equipments.
