With the development of science and technology, the requirement of renewal for the working and living conditions of ours is put forward. Compare with the traditional lighting source the semiconductor light source has many advantages on quake-proof, resistant to shock, good of light beam, long life, low power consumption, low energy consumption, small volume, light weight, fast response, low fever and so on. It attracts more and more people’s attention. LED is the typical product of the semiconductor luminescence technology. It develops very fast in recent years and has been widely used. LED not only can be used as indicator, liquid crystal display light source, but also as a special light source to meet all kinds of lighting occasion for the specified application.Clinical operations need to use surgery shadowless lamp to lighting. The traditional surgery shadowless lamp in general uses halogen lamp or metal halide lamp as light source. This light has disadvantages of high-energy consumption, high temperature rising in operation area, and difficult to change the parameters while lighting. It will bring side effect both on patients and doctors when the light is used with long hours. So the requirement of LED lighting is coming from the need of clinical application. The LED operation lamp related technology research has also gradually become the focus of research.This thesis first introduces the design-involved parameters, the LED light source development history; photoelectric properties of the LED; LED lamps and lanterns design and drive circuit design. The method to construct plane light sourced by LED and the control method to change the lighting area is given.This thesis gives the design method to produce uniform illumination with LED array and the optimization design process of the light source structure is described. The LED shinning lamp is used as the basic unit; many basic units make the LED array. Spyro criterion and model simulation software are used to optimize the distance between LED units when the uniform light area at the position of1m away from light source is considered. The uniform lighting distribution of the two kinds of light arrangement form is compared and analyzed.The method to control the illumination area and the shape of the lighting are given. Its function is realized by push the button on panel that connects with single chip microcomputer.
