The Research Of Data Communication On Substation Automation System Based On IEC61850

The substation is an important part of the power automation system, and it is key link to ensure the safe and stable operation of power grid. The network communication of substation is a link to connect intelligent electronic devices in substation automation system, its security and real-time determines the availability of the system. At present, the biggest problem power systems faced is "islands of information", because different manufacturers produce various IED which have different interfaces and data formats, leading the communication between devices requires protocol conversion, thereby increasing the cost of system operation.The IEC61850standard is the only international standard in substation automation system, which aims at solve the compatibility and interoperability of intelligent electronic devices from different manufacturers in substation. This paper analyzed the research status of IEC61850standard and data communications system at domestic and foreign, to solve the practical application of data communication standard about IEC61850as the goal, discussed the significance, feasibility and implementation method of IEC61850protocol mapped to TCP/IP communication protocol, and used VC++network programming technologies to study experimentally the data communication problem of substation automation system.Selecting TCP/IP protocol as the top-level interface of information exchanging in substation can realize international of information and resource sharing in substation, the data communication in substation can be realized by TCP/IP. In this way, the local substation control room and remote control center can use TCP/IP protocol to achieve remote information exchange through the Internet. SSL VPN technology can be applied to solve data communications security to achieve data communication confidentiality, integrity and controllability.Researching the data communication of substation automation system on the basis of IEC61850standard, on the platform of the12th five-year plan Shanxi major science and technology special projects, this article proposed data communication mode based on C/S model; and analyzed the configuration process of the substation system object model based on case; finally it constructed the real-time data and file transmission system model based on Socket technology, and demonstrated the time requirement of using Socket to transfer file message meets the requirement of IEC61850standard.Thus, the combination of the IEC61850standard and TCP/IP protocol can achieve interoperability between the equipment of different manufacturers, the transmission of real-time data and static configuration file can easily achieve the management of configuration status and operation condition in substation, which provide an efficient solution for data transmission of substation automation system.
