The aeolian vibration has been one of the main factors which endangered the security of power transmission line for a long time. Wind with high strength will tilt the pole of power transmission line, or even push it over. Continuous wind with lower strength will generate aeolian vibration. High speed vibration or resonance will cause accidents, such as short pass. For ensuring safety, the inspector has to gather variety parameters to monitoring the status of transmission line. However, on the one hand most of the transmission lines located in remote region; on the other hand many relative parameters can not be collected directly. All these factors add to the inspectors’difficulties.In this paper, a wireless system for vibration monitoring based on transceiver of nRF24L01is designed. Vibration data will be transmitted from node to terminal via a couple of wireless modules. User could get the vibration in time domain and frequency domain from the handheld terminal directly. The system which has smart size and low-power consumption is easy to set up and works stably. Vibration signal within100meters can be monitored accurately. In this article, firstly the key technologies about vibration monitoring and wireless transmission are introduced. Secondly, the main frame of system is introduced and hardware of node and terminal are designed. Then the method of acquiring frequency from acceleration is proposed, and the method of drive nRF24L01with SPI driver in Linux kernel is elaborated in detail. At last, finish the debug and test.
