Morphological Evolution And Spatial Analysis Of Xiaoyi Old City

There are six state-level historical and cultural city and five provincial-level historical and cultural city in this historical resource-rich province of Shanxi,Xiaoyi is one of them, which in ancient times was a military site.Its capital city construction started from the Northern Wei Dynasty,So far it has had1500years never fragmented history of the development,and it has a complete fortresses pattern and the historical form.However, decades from the Republic of China to the founding,The Urbanization construction also spread to Xiaoyi old city,Destruction of historic buildings, many traditional houses construction and demolition, alteration causing tremendous damage and impact of all of the Old City for the historical and spatial pattern.The subject to select Xiaoyi old city as an object of study, finishing its historical context, looking for its evolution mechanism to resolve the law. Through the research on historical development and change,pattern,history of morphological characteristics and historic buildings of Xiaoyi Old Town, proposed countermeasures to protect the old city pattern and continuation of the historical form of the old city,in order to protect and reuse historic space of Xiaoyi Old Town,inherit long history and culture of of Xiaoyi Old Town.This paper is divided into six parts.The first chapter clarifies the background, purpose, meaning, method and content of this study,The second chapter discusses the characteristics of the natural environment and human environment characteristics of Xiaoyi Old Town,to grasp the nature of the old city,elaborate the historical context,lay the foundation for the research on the evolution of the spatial form of the Old City.The third chapter segment first discusses the evolution of Xiaoyi County address, fhen discusses the evolution of the Old City historical form,Starting from the different stages of the historical background,Depth study historical morphological evolution characteristics of the Evolution and its elements characteristics,Analyze the major factor which effect the evolution of the spatial form of the Old City.The next part against historical form of the heyday of the city,summarize its spatial characteristics from the whole city, streets, buildings.The fifth part investigate the conservation and reuse effectively,propose measures and content of conservation and reuse. Conclusion summarized historical evolution and formation and spatial morphological characteristics of Xiaoyi Old Town in general.
