| Historical and cultural villages are important carriers of China’s farming culture and rural landscape, with rich historical and cultural connotations, representing the customs and traditional styles of different regions. However, for a long time, due to insufficient awareness of village protection and imperfect protection regulations, the historical buildings and traditional styles of villages have been damaged to a certain extent. With the proposal of rural revitalization strategy, how to accurately understand the spatial characteristics of villages and properly handle the relationship between protection and development in the new era of historical and cultural villages as representatives of ancient villages has become a hot spot in the academic circles. In recent years, great progress has been made in village-related research, but there is still a lack of deep understanding of the spatial characteristics of villages, and it is difficult to propose more targeted protection measures and optimization strategies, resulting in village protection remaining on the surface and unable to give full play to its effectiveness.Historical and cultural villages are rich in connotation and diverse spatial levels, and the spatial characteristics of villages cannot be accurately recognized through overall perceptual understanding alone,so it is necessary to introduce quantitative analysis methods to systematically analyze the spatial characteristics of different levels of villages, and propose practical village protection methods for the current situation of villages.Taking the famous historical and cultural village of Shanwan in Jiaodong area as the research object, this paper first analyzes the research background, determines the research purpose and significance, clarifies the relevant concepts, research methods and research content, and builds a research technical route. At the same time, the research and quantitative analysis methods related to the spatial morphology and protection of villages are sorted out,and the quantitative methods of spatial morphology at various spatial levels of villages and the research progress at home and abroad are summarized.Secondly, starting from the Jiaodong area, the spatial distribution characteristics of villages and their natural and cultural influencing factors are analyzed, and the site selection characteristics of the commonality of villages are summarized, which is a basis for studying the spatial morphological characteristics of historical and cultural villages in Shanwan. Then, combined with GIS,spatial syntax and two-dimensional plane overall quantification technology, the spatial characteristics of the village are analyzed from three aspects: the current natural environment, the spatial form of the settlement and the spatial form of the building. Finally, with reference to the research results of the current characteristics of villages, according to the protection principles and protection objectives, village protection and development strategies are proposed from four aspects: natural environmental protection, overall pattern protection, spatial structure optimization and historical resources protection,so as to provide reference and reference for the protection and development of historical and cultural villages in Jiaodong area. The main findings of this paper are: First,to summarize the general characteristics of historical and cultural villages in Jiaodong, which are "close to mountains and water and feng shui",and to categorize the relationship between the villages and the surrounding natural environment,so as to provide a basis for subsequent research.Second,to use various quantitative analysis methods to comprehensively analyze the spatial characteristics and cultural connotations of the village based on its own characteristics.we systematically analyze the regional characteristics and cultural connotations of the spatial patterns of the village using various quantitative methods.Thirdly,we propose a conservation and optimization strategy for the spatial characteristics of the village, which is conducive to highlighting the characteristics of the village, improving the quality of the living environment, and promoting the coordinated economic and social development of the village. |
