The installation of leakage protector is becoming popular, which ensured the low voltage distribution network supply safety reliably continuous electricity. However, it’s a great trouble to deal with tremendous amount and widely distributed leakage protector. There is no doubt that the traditional mood of leakage monitoring to line worker reported will bring heavy load and regulatory risk.According to contemporary problem and the running situation of leakage protector, the article put forward a smart monitoring system of controlling the leakage protector. We deeply understand the leakage protector characteristics of installation and operating, so we know what function is the line worker wanted through carefully field studies and user investigation. On the basis of design concept to software engineering, we analyzed the smart monitoring system in detail. Therefore, we raised the overall framework which suited the monitoring system in accordance with the national standard. The overall framework contains three parts which respectively is the smart terminal of leakage protector、access channels and backoffice management system. The terminal are responsible for data collection and transmission. The terminal communicate with backoffice management system by the access channels. We use the widespread way of GPRS to keep up a correspondence each other. The backoffice management system’s duty is data stored、data analyzed and reported.After supervision system passed the expert assessment and then operated in a production line, the supervision platform leakage protection device was established initially. In the feedback of front-line staff, the traditional regulatory system regulation mode changed into information regulation mode, greatly improved the work efficiency of the regulation of leakage protector and improved the reliability of power supply in the region, to further ensure the electricity safety.
