Medium voltage distribution network has the characteristics of more users, more lines and the wide distribution area, etc. Once encountered natural disasters attacks, medium voltage distribution network is often destroyed, which not only brings loss to the power company, but also influences the user’s life. At present, there is few research for the medium voltage distribution network planning to reduce disasters.Research the main kinds of natural disasters which influence the medium voltage distribution network and divide all kinds of disasters into different hierarchies,and then transform disaster hierarchies into disaster zone division;Put forward design scheme to resistant the natural disasters corresponding to disaster type and grade; Based on the disaster grade and the regional division, put forward the method of medium voltage distribution network planning to resistant the natural disasters(in this paper we call it method one).In method one, all the lines are designed with improving the design standard of different degree corresponding to disaster type and grade,so there is some difficulty to some planning area,where the economy is not very good. In view of this, another method is put forward:the method of medium voltage distribution network planning to resistant the natural disasters basing on backbone line(in this paper we call it method two).Firstly, establish evaluation index system of medium voltage distribution network line from angle of resisting natural disasters,including five evaluation index:line can be high turn indicator,disaster condition reliability index, line importance index, high economic indicators and high investment benefit index. Secondly, based on the analytic hierarchy process, this paper puts forward the basic principle of medium voltage distribution network line comprehensive evaluation method and comprehensive evaluate and sort the lines. Finally, according to the result of sorting and the number of backbone lines, this paper puts forward a variety of different planning schemes, and then evaluate them from aspects of reliability, economy and efficiency;from the result of evaluation,determine the optimal scheme.At last,select a planning area distribution network in the city of MaoMing of guangdong province for an example.On the basis of power grid planning, design the scheme which is against disasters respectively using the method one and method two; Contrast and analysis the schemes which designs with two different methods.
