Electric power industry is the foundation of the national economy. With the rapid development of national economy, the demand of people for power is increasing. In recent years, professions’ demand for power is rapidly growing, the phenomenon power load overload is very severe, the phenomenon of power cut and power shortage is more and more frequent, this situation leads to barrier for sustained economic development and people’s normal life. In order to relieve the tension situation of the power supply and demand, the government has stepped up efforts to conduct electricity infrastructure, the number of power engineering project increases rapidly. Due to the increase of investment and construction period lengthening, the security risk problem of power engineering project will increase. Therefore electric engineering safety management’s research has practical significance.This paper introduces the basis theory of construction engineering safety evaluation, the existing problems, composition of safety risk source and classification of safety management in electrical engineering construction site. Then, we analyze the safety evaluation index of construction site. Analysis project safety management influence factor based on safety management actual conditions in the construction site, propose the principles establishing indexes system should follow, establish a set of new safety evaluation index system and formulate the evaluation methods according to the variation rules of evaluation indexes. AHP method was used to determine the weight of each safety evaluation index in the project safety management. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method respectively and matter-element extension evaluation method are used to evaluating engineering. the matter-element extension evaluation method can judge the deviation degree of engineering safety level. Combined with examples, we prove the correctness and reliability of this evaluation methods.
