The elevator is the indispensable tool of the people’s daily life for its quick andconvenient features. Due to the particularity of using environment, functionality, andcommon, that will not only lead to personal injury and property damage in the event of anaccident, but also cause serious social impact. Therefore, the research of elevator riskassessment and control is of great significance. Based on the all aspects of the elevatorsystem life cycle and its operational failure, the elevator system risk assessment system risk isestablished and the assessment method is builded drawing on fuzzy theory. The main contentof study includes the following aspects.(1) The impact factors index system of the elevator system risk evaluation. The elevatorsystem risk factors are identified from the eight aspects of the design, manufacture,installation, maintenance, renovation or major repairs, use, management and inspection. Theaccident possibility evaluation index system is builded combined with the use of elevatorsactual characteristics. The accident consequences severity evaluation index system is buildedfrom the time of the trapped people, social impact, and emergency rescue.(2) Elevator system risk assessment calculation model. The elevator system riskevaluation model is established by the fuzzy evaluation method on the basis of fully considerthe actual elevator application characteristics and the detailed analysis of risk assessmentmethod and its applicability. Based on the calculation model, scientific indicators ofre-acquisition method is put out, the reasonable factors level standards system is established,the proper risk calculation process is improved. Finally, the effective result is obtained.(3) The implementation process and the specific content of the elevator system riskevaluation. To clear the detailed implementation steps and process content of the elevatorsystem risk assessment is essential after the building of elevator system risk assessmentmethod model. Mainly includes information gathering, risk calculation, building risk matrixto determine the risk rating, determining control measures by the ALARP principles, thefollow-up of the risk assessment content.(4) The software of the elevator system risk assessment. The elevator system riskassessment system software is established with the Microsoft C#language based on elevator system risk assessment method model. To complete the functions for factors management,risk calculation, results processing and fast receive accurate results.(5) Engineering examples applications. Select two representative and contrast elevatorsfor applications of the risk assessment method model and the software system. To carry out acomparative analysis for the assessment results and the actual situation, then the validity andthe engineering application effect of the risk assessment model and software system areanalyzed.
