Study On Reform Of Old Urban Residential Area Environment

Environment of residential areas is a major component of the living environment, economic development brought the improvement of the lives of the residents, as well as a higher level of requirements for living environment. Built in the eighties and nineties, environment of old urban residential is far failed to meet the contemporary needs of the residents, so the transformation is imminent. The process of urban development process is the process of constantly urban renewal, which injects new vitality to city. As the important content of the old areas of urban renewal, reform of old urban residential area environment is of great significance to the future development of the city.Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, and Architecture are the three basic disciplines of Sciences of Human Settlements. In the perspective of Landscape Architecture, the paper study about the reform of old urban residential area environment. Including the following aspects:Firstly, on the basic of the study of the theory and practice of reform of old urban residential area environment at home and abroad, the paper analyzed in-depth and concluded that the existing experience and development trends of the reform of old urban residential area environment.Secondly, the paper analyzed the current situation of reform of old urban residential area environment, and opportunities and challenges in face now.Thirdly, Summarized old urban residential area environment reform as three levels, environment function, ecology, and spirit, then explored corresponding solutions for different levels.Forthly, taking Xincheng District in Xi’an, Shanxi as an example, under the guidance of the Landscape Architecture, the paper put forward ideas from space utilization perspective to solve the problems of old urban residential area environment. And the paper studied the specific application of the theory of Landscape Architecture from three aspects as public space, green space and parking space.Finally, the paper drew the following conclusions:firstly, landscape architecture is practical in reform of old urban residential area environment; secondly, interdisciplinary should be noted, landscape architecture should be combined with other disciplines to guide the reform together; thirdly, reform should be started with space function and focus on human needs. The paper provided a reference for future research and study of old urban residential area environment reform.
