A Research About Operation Management Of Urban Public Transport

The methods of research in this paper are document analysis, expert interview and case-studying. In the analysis of Wujiang public transportation system, six aspects are considered:vehicle development, operational excellence, flow distribution, parking situation, network distribution and so on. The aim of this paper is to provide suggestions for, the administrative methods and services of Wujiang public transportation system.According to the research and the experience from some international cities, the author thinks that the city public transportation should be perfected from the following five aspects.1.In order to guide the layout and the development of the city transportation, the development pattern of city transportation should be constructed on the base of the public transportation-oriented mode. Now some developed countries have taken utmost effect on the development and strategy of city public transportation, balancing the development between the land planning and public transportation. They also have constructed the city comprehensive transportation net system based on public transportation and the integration of multi-transportation methods, ensuring, ensuring the sustainable development of the city transportation.2. The comprehensive management and perfect regulation systems should be established, to ensure the healthy development of the city public transportation. Integrate the traffic resources on the whole and enhance the cooperation relationship among all the departments. Improve the management level and service ability of the city transportation, which has built well atmosphere for professional management, reasonable planning, clear responsibility and standard supervision.3. The leading role of the government in the development of the city public transportation should be emphasized. The governments of many countries and regions have already realized their important role in the development of the city public transportation. The government should positively guide the development of the city public transportation by funds declaration and law construction so as to build a perfect buying system of the city public transportation.4. Comprehensive political measures should be taken to improve the service quality of the city public transportation. Now many international cities have devoted greater efforts to the construction of infrastructure and formulated relative transportation development plan. They have improved the quality of public transportation service by the reconstruction of the facilities and the innovation of technology in order to serve better. They have broadened thepublic transportation cover area by improving the city public transportation net. They also have facilitated the transformation by constructing perfect hinges. What’s more, they bettered the safety and environment of vehicles by equipping the public vehicles.5. The traffic demands management and risk evaluation should be carried out actively to support the sustainable development of the city transportation. Considering the traffic demands of all sides and mitigation of traffic pressure, many developed countries have adjusted the travel patterns of the public on the base of the optimization of the public transportation net. Besides, they have also controlled the traffic flow strictly. For example, they controlled the parking space strictly. They increased the fee of the vehicles in CBD. They even charged for roads and license tag in order to control the demands for buying private cars. In order to encourage people to use bicycles and public transportation, they also gave priority to public transportation, planned special lanes for buses and bicycles, improved the walking environment and estimated the transformation.
