Solid stability of the tailings dam is a top priority for the safe operation of mining enterprises. Once the dam break by weak monitoring will give enterprises themselves and the lives and property of the masses of the people downstream incalculable loss!Tailings dam monitoring mainly concentrated in five important parameters: displacement, saturation line, dry beach, the water level, and the overall video, where the displacement is the most important parameter. It is the research subject of this thesis. The topic is part of the scientific and technological project in Shanxi Province (Project Name:The tailings dam body safety monitoring and early warning system based on ZigBee technology. Project number:20110321036). Mainly undertake the related law of dam displacement and collapse mechanism and the related hardware and software system design of the displacement monitoring.The displacement monitoring has many methods, where the most accurate is the GPS system. However, due to the adverse impact of the satellite position and weather environment, the measurement accuracy is often compromised, more deadly, the GPS system is very expensive. A lot of small and medium-sized private mine owners who would rather risk management, are also not willing to purchase it.In view of the above facts, not only to realize automatic all-weather monitoring target and to meet the requirement of the cheap price, the monitoring system of tailings dam displacement based on ZigBee double location is designed. After corrected measurement data through the normal probability density function of the intermediate, the system will distribute different weights between the signal strength positioning and the transmission time positioning so that they can combine with each other organically. Not only successfully accomplish the automation of the displacement monitoring in the range of accuracy requirements, but also greatly reduces the cost of inputs. Its application prospect must be very broad.
