In recent years, high and super-high buildings, large span andcomplex space building steel structure engineering has been rapid development in ourcountry. In the calculation and analysis of the steel frame structure, It is unreasonableto regard the beam-column joints as ideal hinged joints or rigid joints and ignore theflexibility of joints during analyzing steel structure. The experiment results show thatmost joints belong to the semi-rigid joints in practice engineering, so during theprocess of designing steel structure, the joints should be considered as semi-rigidjoints so that it can be close to the real project. Steel frame structure using semi-rigidnodes can extend cycle, reduce the amplitude, increase the damping structure for theaseismic advantage.According to the stress complex, strength and stiffness and other influencefactors of the steel frame beam-column semi-rigid nodes. This paper first summarizesthe semi-rigid connection’s classification and basic characteristics, the semi-rigidconnection’s mathematics model and database, then introduces the semi-rigid nodesvarious research methods, puts forward applicable condition of the different researchmethods. First using the static test method for the research of the steel frame rizzanoboard, angle steel two typical semi-rigid connection node, made a total of five testspecimen, Analyzing their mechanical properties and the failure mode, discussing thetwo types of semi-rigid nodes bearing capacity size, influence factors and the stiffnesscharacteristics, given including the bending moment of the semi-rigid nodes member-Angle curve. And according to the test results, discuss the similarities and differencesof the two kinds of semi-rigid connection.and put forward the end plate connection isa kind of good bearing capacity and ductility performance semi-rigid joint connectionpattern. It provides experimental basis for the ideal steel structure semi-rigidaseismatic joint connection design and application. Then with the help of ANSYSsimulation and analysis these two types of connection. In the simulation, in order toensure good match of the static test results, the specimen size and material properties are the same with the static test. Using ANSYS analysis the end plate, angle steel twotypical semi-rigid connection node features such as stress, strain, obtain its bendingmoment-rotation curve and contrast analysis of the test results. The study shows thatthe ANSYS analysis results are good coincide with the test results. Although there aresome errors, the errors are within the scope of the permission. It indicates that largefinite element software can well simulate the engineering practical problems, it canmake up the deficiency of the test method. Finally, through the comparative analysisof the test structure and ANSYS analysis results, analyzes the causes of error, anddraw some conclusion, and puts forward some prospects for the future study of halfrigid node.
