Guilin grid demands increase together with the rapid development of the economic. Along with the expanding of the network scale, the structure and power flow of Guilin becomes complex, and the traditional management mode of personnel, dispersion, local is not comply with the rapid development of power network any more. Therefore, it is needed urgently to establish an Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) System for control optimization of the reactive power voltage.This paper introduces Guilin power grid structure,operation principle and the county power supply network,and power grid reactive power analysis,analysis of reactive power voltage and reactive voltage control measures. Though the disperse, local, personnel control mode solves the problem of the reactive power optimization in a substation, it only collects operation parameter of one substation which can not represents the tap stalls of the capacitor and transformer that should be taken into consideration and coordinated of the substation of the whole network, thus local optimization is realized but not the optimization of the whole system.Finally,after operation of the AVC system is given,qualified rate of each voltage of the monitoring of the whole Guilin network are steady increased,line loss rate of the110KV system, the average daily number of adjustment of capacitor and the average daily number of adjustment of tap are apparently reduced and effectively improve the economic benefits of Guilin power grid.
