At present, Chinese construction industry grows vigorously,the original integrity of the residential buildings were abandoned or demolished,large number of the brick and concrete structure buildings appear.On one hand,the traditional houses faced with a crisis;On the other hand,although the modern buildings are highly scientific and advanced,the development resulted in the excessive consumption of resources and large amount of building rubbish.However,the study found that Chinese traditional residential buildings are mostly used passive energy saving,which is according to the design of building itself and the choice of materials that can achieve the effect of energy saving.We should apply the excellent energy-saving measures of traditional folk house to the modern "green building",is the only sensible choice.This paper’s research object is Chinese traditional,we find the characteristics of Chinese traditional residential buildings through organizing and field investigation, explore which contains the ecological thoughts.And take this as the guidance,combining with the energy-saving design embodied the ecological thought of traditional residential buildings in Jiangxi. Combined with the basic theory of "green building", from four aspects about the site selection,greening, sunshade design and ventilation design to discuss the enlightenment of Chinese traditional ecological thought on the "green building". Finally through the concrete example analysis, establish the new ideas of "green building" saving energy design, make the person, natural and architectural symbiotic, let the Chinese traditional residential buildings and green building perfect unifies in together.
