With the rapid development of Chinese economic construction and socialcivilization, the environment and resource issues have become increasingly prominent,therefore, energy saving efficiency becomes extremely important. As an important partof the social aspects, colleges and universities occupy a very large proportion of energyusing and consumption, however, most of the universities currently are still usingtraditional model of energy management, which requires large amounts of manpower,financial resources Hence, in the case of modern university, an intelligent energymonitoring and controlling system of campus buildings is built. It can not only achieveon-line monitoring and dynamic processing on building energy consumption, but alsocan save a lot of resources to facilitate personnel management and effective promotionof energy saving.This thesis firstly introduces the research background and significance, andsummarizes the domestic and overseas research status of the related technologies.Secondly, the hardware and software of the building energy consumption monitoringand control system are illuminated, the characteristic of campus building energyconsumption is analyzed, and a data itemizing model is given. Then, this articlediscusses the key technology of campus building energy monitor and control system,analyzes the network transmission technology and integration technology ofheterogeneous networks, and in view of the buildings’ realities of a university, designs acampus building energy monitor and control system based on Lonworks field bustechnology, which includes system selection; after that, the integration of heterogeneousnetwork is described. It also uses the OPC interface technology in the system to achievedata exchange in the control and information networks to do a detailed introduction. Finally, software of the campus building energy consumption monitoring is developed,so does a system of system back-end database management, real-time monitoring of thecampus building energy consumption, energy consumption analysis, query statistics,information dissemination, and other functions.The system has completed the hardware platform and software debugging andcommissioning. The system performance can be seen in line with demand after precommissioning. This system design establishes a good foundation to build astandardized general-type platform of the campus building energy consumptionmonitoring system in the future.
