Research On Safety And Early Warning Technology Of Highway Traffic In Fog

In recent years, with the rapid growth of the national freeway mileage, traffic safety hasbecome prominent increasingly, especially in fog, the traffic safety has become a bottleneckbecause its constraint to the economic benefits from freeway. So, under the background thatthe freeway network becomes increasingly intensive and the total number of the motorvehicles is increasing, the research of safety and early warning technology of the freewaytraffic control in fog becomes an inevitable demand and a necessary preparation. Combiningthe present research situation in and out for freeway traffic control in the fog, learning theadvanced scientific research from the United States, Britain, Germany and the other countries,assimilating the advanced experiences in related fields, this thesis studies the issuerespectively in three angles and levels of theory, technology, management. Among them, thekey research is the problem of highway speed limit control in the fog.This paper starting from the analysis of the definition and classification of fog in thisarticle to study formation of fog along the highway and the spatial and temporal distributioncharacteristics. Analysis how the three aspects--road traffic environment in the foggyweather conditions, traffic flow characteristics and driver behavior affect the highway trafficsafety. On this basis, The highway speed limit value calculation model based on vehiclesafety car distance is established combined with the the fog environment of vehicle brakingprinciple, and the Recommendations on the transport of safe driving has been put forward.This paper research the highway safety warning system with fog and analyze thecomposition and function of each part of the early warning system. Divided the warning levelinto four grades according to the affect of varying degrees of fog on the highway safe drivingand give the traffic organization management solutions for different warning levels. Reachthe set of fixed signs and temporary signs for highway in fog environment.
