Research On Engineering Change Control Of Company L

Company L is a production-oriented enterprise. Its main products are smallengineering machinery. According to product line, the products can be divided intoskid steer loaders, backhoe loader and mini wheel loader.As company L continues to grow and develop, a lot of advanced managementplatform has been gradually introduced to Company L. The company has anindependent computer network platform, to achieve internal information sharing andpaperless office model. Currently, company L use advanced information platformssuch as PLM, SAP, OA, CAPP and6S system. Amongst them, PLM is introduced asadvanced management software for technology data management, design changesthrough the Windchill system implementation, process changes and SAP integration.Company L has earned the quality, environment and occupational health managementsystem certification. And the implementation of6S and Lean production activitieswas meant to provide customers with high quality, eco-friendly products and servicesas its mission. It is committed to providing high quality products for customers tocreate more high value.With the change of enterprise development strategies, product market information isconstantly changing, increasing production, variation of strategy, and many otherfactors. L Company products’ various improvements (including parts improvement,the new configuration, process improvement etc.) is also increasing along with thegrowth in engineering change, the evaluation of engineering change management isalso gradually by the company seriously.This thesis mainly focuses on controlling engineering changes of Company L. Aneffective control method for Company L engineering changes above three productswere evaluated using analysis of chromatographic analysis of engineering changesinfluencing factors. And a problem caused by engineering change is largely reduced.
