Lead-acid battery has a history of more than100years, but lead-acid battery with its mature technology, low cost, large current discharge and reliable performance is still widely used in many fields, such as automobiles, electric power, communication, ships, locomotives, medical treatment, etc. With the passage of use time, more or less deterioration exists in lead-acid battery, if repair and recycling are not carried on in time, it will be bound to cause waste and pollute environment. In this dissertation, research about repair technology and detection management technology of lead-acid battery is put forward, which has important practical significance for extending the use life of lead-acid battery, improving the utilization rate of energy and reducing environmental pollution.Degradation problem is inevitable in the use process of lead-acid battery, such as water loss, sulfide, plate active material shedding, inner short circuit, which has serious impact on the use life of lead-acid battery. The research of repair and processing technology is launched according to these several degradation phenomenon described above, for example, regular replenishment water for the battery of water loss, composite pulse repair processing for the battery of sulfide, and so on, which improves greatly the performance of lead-acid battery.According to the characteristics of lead-acid battery, the system of repair and detection management is designed and developed, the purpose is to monitor lead-acid battery in need of repair and after repair. The system mainly controls multi-channel analog switches to detect every single battery voltage, collects the temperature of single battery through digital temperature sensor. Then the microcontroller carries out analysis and processing for collected data, meanwhile, calculates the battery state of charge based on the open circuit voltage method and Ah counting method. In addition, the temperature management, security protection, composite resonant pulse repair and display fault are designed in the system.Finally, the microcontroller sends condition parameters and fault diagnosis information codes to the host computer for real-time monitoring and data storage. The host computer monitoring system is developed based on virtual instrument LabVIEW, it is mainly used for acquisition and processing of single battery voltage, current, temperature, capacity and fault information, while the real state parameters of each single battery are depicted in graphic form. At last, waste lead-acid battery before and after repairing is tested, the experimental result shows that the performance of battery after repairing is obviously improved, and system achieves the basic functions. The research of repair and detection management has a certain significance to promote the reuse of resources and protect environment.
