Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has many advantages, including small volume, high torque to weight ratio, high efficiency, reliable run, and is increasingly used in many high dynamic control performance fields. High-performance PMSM frequency conversion timing system needs a good anti-interference ability and fast dynamic response. One of the key factors affect these is whether the position and speed sensors can achieve rapid and effective tracking for the position and speed of rotor. Right now most of the actual systems use mechanical sensors which can achieve real-time accurate measurement for the position and speed of rotor. But the installation and maintenance of mechanical sensors have some impact on the reliability and economy for the servo control system. As a result, sensorless control research is paid more and more attention. As a sensorless control strategy extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm has good dynamic tracking capability and anti-noise ability. And EKF algorithm has been applied in the real system, but the tracking ability for sudden disturbance is inadequate. Strong tracking filter (STF) algorithm not only has good dynamic tracking capability and anti-noise ability, but also has good tracking ability for sudden disturbance. In this paper, STF algorithm is used as sensorless control strategy vector control to achieve the PMSM vector control. The main contents are summarized as follows:1. Combined the principle of coordinate transformation theory with the structure of PMSM, the mathematical models of PMSM in the three-phase stationary coordinate system, the two-phase stationary coordinate system, two-phase rotating coordinate system are given separately.2. The PMSM vector control system theory is deeply studied. First the principle of space vector pulse width vector modulation (SVPWM) method and the modeling methods of SVPWM are described. Then the design method of vector control regulator is given. Finally, the designed PMSM vector control system is studied by simulation, which is aimed at verifying the correctness of the modeling methods of SVPWM and the design methods of vector control regulator, and analyzing the characteristics of PMSM frequency conversion timing vector control system.3. The problem of using the EKF algorithm and the STF algorithm as the application method of PMSM sensorless control strategies is studied. The two algorithms are compared by simulation in MATLAB environment, which is used to verify that the two algorithms both have good dynamic tracking capability and anti-noise ability and the STF algorithm is better than the EKF algorithm in the tracking capability to mutation status.4. The applying problem of taking STF algorithm as the sensorless control strategy is studied. The modeling method of STF algorithm in PMSM vector control system is given. The PMSM vector control system using STF algorithm as the sensorless control strategy is studied by simulation, and the simulation results demonstrate the validity of application methods.
