With the development of the new power electronic devices,digital signal processors andmodern control theory. the modern speed control technology has been developed. As thePMSM with small dimensions, light weight, high performance, high efficiency and energysaving, Etc, and it has been widely applied in real life, so the research of the PMSM drivesystem has important practical significance.As a means of AC motor control system,vector control technology has high controlaccuracy,good dynamic capability and other advantages developing rapidly in recent years.Ithas become the best choice in the high-performance AC variable frequency speed controlsystem.The variable-frequency speed regulating system based on space vector pwmtechnique have many good qualities,such as less pulsating torque,higher use of DC busvoltage,less switching loss.So it is applicable for the high-performance motor control system.This paper takes the vector control algorithm of motor as the theoretical foundation.First, it studies the PMSM’s composing principle and mathematical model, then analyses thebasic principle and control strategy of vector control, and discusses the feasibility for thevector control system of PMSM, and then it makes a detailed treatise on SVPWM techniqueto drive the motor with frequence conversion. With the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulationmodels of vector control system of PMSM, According to the vector control algorithm andexperiment parameters, the simulation models are tested and corrected in time until themodels are optimized. The result of simulation shows the high performance and the goodprecision. Based on the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation, using Fuji’s intelligent powermodule (IPM) as main circuit core, using Ti’s DSP chip TMS320F2812as systems controlcore, build experimental hardware platform, completed system hardware design, The use of Clanguage programming achieves the main program, interrupt control procedures as well asthe other subroutine design, completed system software design. Paper finally shows theexperimental procedures and result analysis, verified the rationality of the hardware circuitand software design. And it also shows the correctness and feasibility of the study onpermanent magnet synchronous motor drive system.
