Substation Equipment Online Monitoring System Construction And Communication Research Based On IEC61850

As a source of information transmission and distribution system and the implementation of the terminal, substation’s safe and reliable must be protected sufficiently. Condition-based maintenance is an ideal model of substation equipment maintenance, and it is based on condition monitoring and fault diagnosis by online monitoring. Substation equipment online monitoring system has no an uniform technical standards, and thus "interoperability" is the major factor that prevent the technology development, and the IEC61850standard system is to solve the problem of interoperability between intelligent electronic devices, so IEC61850standard can just be applied to the substation equipment online monitoring system network to solve communication problems.Firstly, this paper analyzes the origin and the meaning of the online monitoringsystem and IEC61850. Then, there is a deep study of the IEC61850application methods in the substation equipment online monitoring system, and realized IEC61850standard communication by three steps:modeling, configuration description and communication mapping.The modeling part of researched the characteristics of the information model and general modeling method, and then establish model of the IED based on these methods. The configuration description part researched the function classification and configuration process of SCL modeling description file,and completed the compose of CID file, this file while provides configuration information for communication mapping and encoding process. The communication mapping part selected sampled value transmission services’mapping mode, and researched the frame structure of this mapping mode, completed APDU BER encoding, and framing the ethernet data frames based on CID file, thus realized the IEC61850standard communication of the online monitoring system.Finally, research and build a distributed substation equipment online monitoring system based embedded RTOS and ARM microprocessor, by using the object-oriented modeling design thinking of IEC61850standard. The idea of modular design to complete various functional modules of the system design, including the smallest systems, Ethernet interface, GPRS interface, RS232interface, and completed RTOS porting and application design on this hardware platform. Using the IEC61850packet capture and analysis software Wireshark to capture and analysis of the system communication message successfully, to prove that the communication of the system to meet the IEC61850specification.
