Friction pendulum base isolation system is put forward by Dr. Victor Zayas in the1980s in American, it is developed on the basis of the pure friction sliding isolation, it is a kind of improvement of planar sliding isolation device, its unique circular slip surface is not only has the function of limit and automatic reset, can also consume the earthquake energy by sliding friction, thus greatly reducing the earthquake action of the super structure. Because of its unique isolation principle and its simple and convenient construction technology, more and more get the welcome of engineering.Multilayer framework model of one-way eccentric with and without base-isolation are built up by finite element analysis software SAP2000, each model is set up four kind of eccentric, mass eccentricity of the upper structure are0.05,0.10,0.15and0.20respectively. The torsional responses of the two models are studied under Hanshin wave, EL CENTRO wave and wenchuan seismic wave. Comparative analysis shows that for the one-way eccentric mass of the structure, using the friction pendulum base isolation can obviously reduce the torsional response of the upper structure, large eccentricity of friction pendulum bearing eccentric vibration isolation effect is smaller than the small eccentricity.
