The focus and development of modern energy-saving vehicles with lowemission has transferred to electrical vehicles (EV). Battery, playing a key role indeveloping EV, whose performance may determine the whole performance of thevehicle in a large scale, is highly studied by world-wide scientists. Advanceddetection and test method is required in consideration of the restriction of testingcost and methods. This paper has proposed a comprehensive performanceevaluation system for power battery of EVs based on LabVIEW technology, which is bound to speed up the development of exploitation and application ofpower battery for EVs.The simulation test system is mainly constructed by charging anddischarging management system, virtual driving system and virtual runningsystem of power battery. Communication among systems is accomplished withRS-232serial port line, PCI-1711data collecting board and USBCAN-II. Thesimulation test system can obtain control data by the running of virtual drivingsystem, and collect data of battery pack with USBCAN-II in order to gain batterydata and provide guidance for performance analysis of battery.During real running of EVs, the power battery may suffer various kinds offault, where much fault is taken on with regular fuzzy and random. This paper isproposed a diagnosis, based on real-time running data and last two sets ofdiagnosis results, of fault detection for power battery with comprehensive fuzzyevaluation method along with battery diagnosis rules. The results are broughtwith healthy state and maintenance information. At last, the accuracy andreliability of fault diagnosis model can be testified by real working data of EVs.
