In recent years, China’s rapid economic development, the modernization of the electricity industry as the lifeline of the national economy has been reflected in a growing importance. Substation high voltage electrical equipment, in the long run process prone to insulation aging or exposure to excessive resistance phenomenon, leading to overheating, causing fire and a wide range of power outages, and bring significant economic losses, because most of the high voltage substation electrical equipment can reflect the operating state from the device temperature variation, so the substation equipment the real-time monitoring of temperature is of practical value. Along with the continuous development of computer technology, wireless communication and sensor technology, The combination of sensor technology, information processing technology and wireless communication technology for wireless sensor network technology came into being, The topic of wireless sensor network technology used in the substation, to temperature information gathering, processing, and communication as the main object of study, design a wireless sensor network220kv substation equipment intelligent monitoring systems.System design process, the subject of the main microprocessor chip is the C8051F996and RF chip nRF905chip, Complete temperature data acquisition and aggregation nodes, hardware and software design. Temperature data acquisition node is Constituted by temperature acquisition module, microprocessor modules, wireless communication module and power modules; aggregation node is Constituted by the wireless communication module, microprocessor module, serial communication modules, and power supply modules. TDMA manner as the communication protocol between the temperature data acquisition node and aggregation node, Temperature data acquisition node acquisition distribution substation equipment in the entire temperature data, then send to aggregation node by wireless manner, The aggregation node analyze and integrate temperature data, and then transfer to the485bus waiting for monitoring computer responds.The test temperature data acquisition nodes, aggregation nodes hardware circuit, and they communicate with each other, achieve the desired objectives, prove the rationality of the design, provides an effective solution for substation equipment intelligent monitoring application.
