Research Of The Road Space System In Rural Communities

During the fast development of recent decades, no matter for the new rural communities or remodeled communities, the focus tends to be on the constructions, but there is still not enough attention and design for the road space system-the peripheral connection of rural settlement environment. It worth our introspection on the way of rural construction which gives more emphasis on the road accessibility but in a high degree ignore the unique characteristic of country roads.The statement of this paper starts with summarizing current problems existing in the development of road space system in rural community, and followed with deeper analysis for the features and demands of rural road space system-different conditions for different periods and varies functions demanded. Author raised the concept of’road resource sharing’. Based on a systematic study on function, morphology, grade, layout and structure of the roads system as well as the constituent elements including road interface, underlying surface, green, facilities, author proposed the principles and strategies of roads composite optimization which help realizing the target of’dynamically adjusted and composite utilizing’of rural community road. After this, author proposed several typical models of shared roads and followed up with an interpretation of how to apply the strategy of updating road system for the rural community.This paper aims at making road system efficiently satisfying the living needs of rural communities and better integrating the specific rural landscapes; moreover, providing some suggestions for updating rural living environment and some reference for the new rural construction.
