According to the situation of intelligent warning application far from being practical and engineered, and the technical requirements for intelligent warning functions from smart substations, the following practicability research on intelligent warning has been carried out. By using favorable conditions of the standardized construction of substations, wide use of IEC61850and the digitalization and intellectualization of secondary equipment, this research covers the selection of technical route, overall concept design, fault modeling, peripheral data processing, the development of smart inference engine and interaction between dispatching master stations.1.The concept of decoupling the supervisory and control platform and splinteringsoftware codefrom fault inference model to standardize the model is developed, and the approach to achieve the concept is explored. Firstly, a fault inference model based on primary equipment of substation and IEC61850to realize the decoupling supervisory and control platform from fault inference model is presented. Secondly, the route of splintering software code from fault inference model is developed on account of fault features of substations and deficiencies of intelligent warning applications. Finally, a technical route is proposed on the realization of model-driven mode.2.The architecture of lamination distributional typed intelligent warning application is designed based on the foregoing concept and technical route.3.Standard modeling of substation fault is researched. Firstly, by using expert system method, a reference model of substation fault is built based on primary equipment of substation and IEC61850. Secondly, a fault logic language describing reference model of substation fault is established and a character type system of substation object keywords solving the problem of object definition and description of fault inference model and realizing the automatic mapping between fault inference model and supervisory and control system. Those methods decouple the fault inference model and supervisory and control system platform.4.The supporting data processing service of intelligent warning is researched. Firstly, service of IEC61850model information analytical processing is designed and implemented in order to analyzing the IEC61850model data in intelligent warning information. Secondly, network topology analysis service is designed and implemented on account of the diagnosis of complex failures of crossing electrical bays. Finally, keywords processing modules of character type substation is designed and implemented to achieve the mapping between fault inference model and the supervisory and control platform.5.The software of model driven smart inference engine is designed and developed using the object oriented programming method.6.The approach of deep interaction between intelligent warningapplication and dispatching center is researched.A method of substation fault standardized modeling is developed on the basis of wide survey and engineering practice, which decouples the fault inference model and the supervisory and control platform and solves the problem of standardizing fault inference model. What’s more, a method of establishing a fault logic language based on XML to describefault inference model is developed to simplify engineering configuration. The model driven mode based on fault inference model for substation fault diagnosissplinters software code from fault inference model, which contributes to software updating and maintenance. The concepts above render the substation fault diagnosis application flexible, applicable and accurate for higher practicability and standardization.
