The demand of the slanting axial piston pump is continually increasing with thedevelopment of the engineering machinery, mining machinery and metallurgy machinery. Now,it has become the most important dynamic components in the hydraulic field. But it has twoproblems which influence its life and working stability. The two problems are the wear and tearand the fatigue fracture of its pivotal friction pair. Only the characteristics with the detailed andin-depth research of the pump can we fundamentally find the effective method which canimprove the wear and tear of the friction pair and postpone the fracture of the friction pair.Provide certain theoretical basis and research methods for the future performance improvementand design of the pump.The object of study of the paper is the CY homemade slanting axial piston pump. The paperuses the dedicated software of the CFD Fluent and Simulink toolbox to do simulation study onthe static and dynamic characteristics of the clearance flow field of the slipper pair and theclearance flow field of the flow distribution pair with considering the viscosity along withtemperature. The research content of the static characteristics is analyzing the distribution of thepressure, temperature and speed of the flow field. And analyze the variety and reason of theenergy loss of the flow field in the pump. The research content of the dynamic characteristics isanalyzing the dynamic changing regular pattern of the thickness of oil film, the leakage flow rateand the carrying capacity of the flow field. And analyze the influence of the working pressureand speed to the regular pattern. Last, make the simulation study of the flow of the pump withconsidering the leakage flow rate of the clearance. Hope to explore the conclusion more tallywith the actual situation.
