The utilization of the gangue and fly ash to make brick, can not only save energy, reduceoccupied land, turn waste into treasure, protect the environment, but also has high economicvalue. This paper discuss the main problem of using the gangue and fly ash to make brick byanalysing the comprehensive utilization and the research status of gangue and fly ash. Weconfirm the environmental conditions of developing recycling economy type building materialsby studying the local nature environment, soft environment,and popularity of products in themarket.We sample the gangue and fly ash of the main feed source, separately determine theamount of calcium and sulphur,etc,determine the indexes of basic materials as plastic index andso on,give a objective evaluation to the adaptability of existing material brick.by usingexperimental method. We do many sets of parallel experiment to brick indexes as hardness,surface finish and sintering damage rate and so on in different ratio, different size, differentaging time, different water addition rate, different drying time, different sintering time andtemperature,and develope new type of hollow block. Finally this paper give the optimal processparameters to manufacture new-type nollowe brick:(1) The best recipe gangue sintered hollow brick: gangue50%fly ash50%.(2) the gangue optimum particle size of the raw material with as follows: less than0.05mmaccounted for33to52%;0.05to1.3mm accounted for22to66%;1.3to2mm accounted forless than30%; gangue raw materials aging time for3to4days; drying medium temperature inthe range110to155°C velocity1.5~4.Sm/s;12to48hours of the drying cycle. Ganguesintered hollow brick firing temperature of1050°C firing cycle of47to52hours, heat4to8hours.We formulate the energy conservation and emission reduction plan under the condition ofnew product,and do benefit analysis.
