In recent years, with the zoom system continues to mature, it has been widely used in many areas, for example medical diagnostics, photography, public security investigation, etc. Especially in the medical care, the zoom lens has become the irreplaceable auxiliary equipment in medical instruments. When doctors observed in patients’injuried positions,the can adjust the focal length of the lens to zoom in the details of the injuried positiongs. This allows doctors to diagnose disease better and to come up with the best treatment options.This paper designed and studied a focal length of30-120mm, the relative aperture of1:4visible zoom optical system, this system can target a good capture, tracking and positioning. First, we discuss the design of the general methods of the zoom system, on the basis of it, we determine the initial structure of the zoom system, and use the ZEMAX to optimaize this system,and then we get the cersus and compensate curve.We design the zoom optical system,which center transfer function is not less than0.2; Secondly,we design a control system based on89C51microcontroller,use the encoder as a delivery system, the value of the angle encoder turned and focal length value is one-to-one relationship, realize the focal length of the real-time display output; Finally,anter the whole zoom system in processing assembly and adjustment,we use550mm parallel light tube to test the zoom system indoor and outdoor, it is concluded that the focal length of the error is less than±2%, the results are in line with the technical requirements to achieve the original intention of the design.
