| With the development of modern technology, people’s requirement of stability andcomfort on bus becomes more and more high. The air suspension, which is a high-techproduct to match the above requirement, has been given more and more attention by busmanufacturers, then buses with air suspension are studied and produced constantly both inforeign country and our own country. Air suspension gradually has become the nationalstandard configuration for advanced large automobile. But the match on air suspension withthe bus is still a problem what need to be resolved in the development of bus technology.Many air suspension configured in buses still imported from abroad, what is the obstacles ofthe development of buses. So the study of the air suspension bus is great significance work.In this paper, the matching method of air suspension and bus was explored with the toolof simulation and theory of multi-body dynamics. In this paper, according to the structure andprinciples of air suspension, the stiffness characteristics of air suspension were analyzed.Using the ADAMS/Car module which incorporates function of modeling solving andvisualization, front and rear suspension were established. On the basis of it, the entire bussimulation model was established. The K&C characteristics of air suspension affect themovement of the tire position, and then cars’ handing stability would be affected, the study ofthe K&C characteristics is important for handing stability. So the K&C characteristicsanalysis of air suspension were done from two aspect of wheel travel testing and static loadtesting in the front air suspension model which was established by ADAMS software, analysisinclude changes of wheel alignment parameters and body motion parameters which to judgethe reasonable of established model. Then several handing stability testing simulation wasdone, including comparison testing of single lane change which was close to real life, steering angle step input testing, cornering with steer release testing and steady turning testing. Theresults from testing demonstrate the air suspension can improve handing stability of bus. |
