Confronted with increasing national electricity consumption, expanding scale of electric power enterprises, improving production efficiency, emerging high-tech equipments and new techniques, thus, it is very necessary to train the staff constantly. The simulation training system can stimulate the real working environment and operational processes. Therefore, staff can practice them in the virtual environment by using software, this method improves the training efficiency and effectiveness, and saves time and costs.Based on the development of network communication technology, this paper stimulates the operation process of equipments in power plant, accident treatment, relay protection and other processes and designs a distant stimulation training system of Client/Server mode that can be applied to the staff training, which mainly discuss the following questions:(1) This paper introduces the composition of software and hardware as well as the functions of each part. Distance training system uses the multimedia visual technology to stimulate related equipments and operation processes.(2) The Socket technology is used to connect teacher’s computers and students’computers so as to communicate with each other. The system builds some corresponding test data base to carry out regular tests. The distance training system has a monitoring system, teacher discovers an error in the operation and process in time, teacher maintains classroom discipline, it will assure the good training effect.(3) An authentication System, based on the SMS dynamic password, and it will assure security of distance training system.The distant stimulation training system introduced in the paper is a high efficient, energy-saving and convenient training model, which is characterized by well-designed interface that improves the training effectiveness. This system meets the training requirements of operation, inspection and malfunction of equipments in power plant. Moreover, it also supports distant stimulation function that meets distant training demand of teachers and students in other places.
