In the entire passenger trains, the sleeper compartment occupies a relatively large space, but has a smaller carrying capacity. Many abroad Trains have a day bed box, it’s a great convenience to travelers. Although fewer people take a train abroad, but still have such a humane box design. There is a small number of the Chinese day bed sleeper compartment, but there are many shortcomings. Chinese people rely on trains to travel, as the country’s economic development and people’s living standards improve, more complete functional sleeper box design is good for country and people.The modular design and advanced manufacturing methods, to the modern production injected energy and blood, in-depth study of the modular approach, as well as its enormous social and economic benefits will be further reflected. In solving complex system design and manufacturing, modular approach will reflect the great advantage, will become one of the major design and method of manufacturing industry in the future.This paper first describes the current situation and characteristics at home and abroad sleeper train, the need to develop day bed sleeper analysis, combined with sleeper aspects of train maintenance and manufacturing profiles of the introduction of a modular design approach, explained the necessity of the modular design in the day bed sleeper and feasibility of doing their analysis system.
