At present, the building energy efficiency has been widely applied in the field of residential building. The rural residential building is relatively weak in the utilization of energy saving, and meanwhile, it lacks the basis of related national standards and policies, which may result in various energy-saving problems in the external building envelope and roof, etc. of the rural residential building. All these severely influence the development of rural economy, culture and living. Consequently, it is quite urgent to conduct energy-saving reconstruction of rural residents.The studies on the energy-saving reconstruction of rural residential building carried out by domestic and foreign countries mainly concentrate in the practices of external building envelope, roof and ground, etc. With the rapid growth in areas of domestic rural residential building, higher demands are raised for the energy-saving reconstruction of rural residential building. In the previous design and construction of energy-saving reconstruction, the thermal insulation property was usually poor and the comfort level was low. Specific reconstruction measures are selected according to the local regional features. The study on the energy-saving construction by combining the features of rural residential building achieves an economic reconstruction method with high reliability. The basic energy-saving elements of rural residential building are concluded as architectural composition, external building envelope and regional features. On the basis, measures for the energy-saving reconstruction of rural residential building are discussed, and strategies, like the design thoughts, design principles, etc are concluded.The energy-saving reconstruction measures for Yongchuan region are concluded, and the main results achieved are shown as follows:(1). Yongchuan region locates in hilly area, and the architectural composition shall give priority to the freestyle layout, facing south, for guaranteeing the heating in winter and ventilation in summer.(2). The current situation of rural areas in Yongchuan is analyzed comprehensively, such as the economic rationality, drawing on local resources, etc. The external walls may adopt the exterior wall insulation practice, for guaranteeing the flatness and aesthetics of the surface. It may be low in cost and convenient in construction, without influencing the utilization of owners. Meanwhile, it can also transform the effect of the external walls, which will make the building look beautiful.(3). The doors and windows shall be set in south direction, and priority shall be given to the flat house type under the same conditions, the window area in the north shall be reduced, while that in the south shall be increased. Meanwhile, the natural ventilation shall be added, and measures for sun-shading in summer shall be taken. Double-glazing can be employed, which may increase the heat conduction and reduce the heat transfer. Materials with small heat transfer coefficient, such as the aluminum alloy, shall be selected for the window or door frames. Insulated window boards and curtains can be taken for improving the temperature, humidity and comfort level effectively.(4). The reasonable selection of thermal insulation materials will guarantee the comfortable indoor temperature, which may save substantial heating energy consumption. The roofing shall take heat preservation practices, for instance, inversion, suspended ceiling, laying dry slag, etc. Local residents can select different reconstruction schemes and energy-saving measures according to practical conditions.In this paper, theoretical analysis is carried out for the structural compositions, heat transfer, doors and windows, grounds, etc. by combining the local geographic conditions and environmental influence and by taking the rural residential building in Hegeng Town of Yongchuan, Chongqing, as the research object. Detailed heat transfer analysis is conducted for the energy saving of rural residential building by collecting and categorizing related scientific literature. And then, residential energy-saving reconstruction measures are proposed according to the heat transfer theory, and comparative discussion is conducted after reconstruction. Furthermore, by combining related code requirements, an optimization scheme is made for the rural residential building according to the energy-saving of rural residential building. Then, simulation analysis is carried out with green building design of building energy efficiency, and comparative analysis is carried out for the energy consumption before and after the reconstruction. The achievements are significant, economic and reasonable, which fully proves the feasibility of the optimization plan.
