The Progress Project Management Of Datang Jiaonan Wind Farm Engineering Project

Construction management is a significant issue which guides the construction of windfarm project. It is a unit of wind energy project construction, not only ensuing thehigh efficiency and low cost of the project, but also helping strengthen themanagement and improve economic benefits. The construction of wind farm has thefollowing features: large area of the project construction, multiple construction points,frequent movements (especially the movements of large hoisting equipment),scattered wind turbines, long roads which require examinations, sophisticatedconstruction, various terrains, windy environment, and high level requirements to theinstallation of the towers, blades, and nacelles. In addition, wind farm constructionrequires a limited period. Therefore, it is necessary to apply schedule management toensure the project completed in time with thorough planning and reasonable cost. Theconstruction will be implemented reasonably by well-organized personnel, machines,materials, approaches, environment, technology, equipment, plus the combined effortsof construction, installation, consumption, and supply.This paper is based on the project management theory, applying the followingapproaches to study construction management:1) project schedule analysis;2) projectquality control;3) project cost control;4) study on the difficulties of each stage’squality control within the requirements of project schedule.Project engineering is a study related to the implementation plan and organizationmanagement of construction project. Based on the feasibility study, it optimizes theimplementation plan of project construction, and provides reasonable constructionplan. In this paper, the study on Datang Jiaonan project comprises the following focalpoints:1) an analysis on the construction conditions of Datang Jiaonan Wind Farm,which analyzes the wind resource, unit selection, and the geological conditions of thewind farm siting;2) a study on the organization management of Datang Jiaonan WindFarm’s construction, which emphasizes quality management and cost management;3)a study on the application of project management approaches to balance the quality,safety, and cost within the required period. Firstly, this paper introduces the background, importance and approaches of the studyon Datang Jiaonan Wind Farm’s project management.Chapter2analyzes the construction conditions of the project and the necessity oforganization management.Chapter3elaborates the focal points, difficulties and measures of Jiaonan WindFarm’s construction by introducing the project, its general objectives, constructionschedule management and quality management.Chapter4discusses the methods and approaches applied in the implementation ofDatang Jiaonan Wind Farm’s project management. Especially, the important plansand measures taken for quality control are introduced.To sum up, this paper aims to raise a practical issue and provide the solution bystudying the application of project management theory in the constructionmanagement of wind farm project. This will also contribute to the improvement ofwind farm construction management.
