Nowadays, with the improvement of domestic macroeconomic environment, national economy has been increased quickly. Meanwhile, because of high population inflation and city-expandability, the big transportation capacity tools are prompted. Under this background, mass transit business is born with a good luck and has a rapid & enormous development. This article aims at Signaling System of Project Phase I of Nanjing Metro South-North Line as the research background to discuss, in details, the application status of what the modern project management theory is used in big, complex and high-risk engineering projects. This article focuses on construction management modes, organization structure design, schedule management and risk identification/control/reply measures in the course of project management. And the way that theory knowledge is associated with practice operation is used, so that the actual project management operation in Signaling System of Project Phase I of Nanjing Metro South-North Line is described clearly at all.In this article, via some of contrast, citation and quantization as well as some basic project management tools (such as WBS, PERT),state of art and application of project management is discussed and features of project construction management modes via multi-angle research is contrasted. And then the valuation of the quantified work-term of the project as well as the WBS are studied. In the end main sorts of risks and reply measures during project management are summarized qualitatively.A good economic and social outcome appears after project acceptance in a quite long operation. The practice and experience in this project is helpful to serve better for national economic construction by means of some of reference and citation.
