To build a resource-efficient and environment-friendly society, currently, DSMplatform is vigorously promoted throughout the country. Power Energy EfficiencyMonitoring Terminal, as a power monitoring device of this platform, can provide an insightto users’actual energy consumption, thus is worth being researched.The Energy efficiency monitoring terminal adopts the design of "ARM Processor+Metering Chip", the microprocessor is used for processing the front-end energy data whichis collected by the metering chip, and then display, store and forward the data. The mainwork of the thesis is both hardware designing and software designing.The hardware design of circuit adopts the idea of modular designing, including energymetering, data processing, storage, communications, and display modules.In the paper, themetering module, communication module, sampling module, display module are analyzedand studied. RN8302,as the core of the metering module,is mainly to complete not onlythe sampling of voltage, electric current and other electrical signals,but also high-precisioncalculation of every energy parameter; RN8316, as the core of master chip, is primarilyresponsible for data processing, storage, communications, and other display functions. Thispaper details the implementation and solutions of Power Energy Efficiency MonitoringTerminal.When designing the software, the underlying drivers and the upper application shouldbe programmed separately in order to improve the portability of software; Meanwhile, it ismore convenient to apply interfacing programming, which can make the replacement anddebugging of the function module easier.After completing the system design, functional tests will be carried out to the Energyefficiency monitoring terminal, by comparing the results to the standard source. Finally, thetest results show that the Efficiency terminal has a high precision and a smaller error,meeting the design requirements of Energy Efficiency Monitoring Terminal.
