Research On Protection And Renewal Of Qingcheng Town Based On Urban Context Analysis

In recent years, with the high speed of urbanization and tourism, the space layout and style of many historic town is arbitrarily changed, historical authenticity is disappearing, which caused widespread concern in society and academia area. The protection of smaller towns was later than the protection of historic city in our country. The concept of "historical and cultural towns and villages" was formally put forward in the law for Protection of cultural relics, which was revised in2002. Then theoretical research and construction practice of historical towns also began to make progress, especially on how to contain the regional cultural context and historical traditions.Qingcheng Town has a long history, but the historical remains is not much, the historical situation is in danger of disappearing. Based on this reality, this thesis take "the protection and renewal of Qingcheng Town" as the main line, with literature research, survey analysis and comprehensive analysis method, based on the data obtained from the overall planning of Qingcheng Town project, which the author participated in the whole process, and also drawing the lessons from the relevant theory and practice of domestic and foreign. From the continuation of historical context, maintain the historical town spatial pattern, renovate architectural style, building open space and other aspacts, carried out research and exploration on planning theory, practice, strategies.This thesis is divided into three parts, five chapters:The first part is literature review, include chapter one, in this part, I put forward the background and the subject of this research. What is more, I reviewed the theory and practice on the conservation and renewal of historic towns both at home and abroad.The second part includes chapter two, chapter three and chapter four. This part is the focus of this article, which has made the interpretation of Qingcheng protection and renovation project. The second chapter expatiated clearly of the development of Qingcheng Town’s history and urban context. We recovered the original appearance of Qingcheng Town based on the historical data collection and present situation research. After analyzing the context advantage, we putting forward the existing problems in the present situation, and then, affirmed the urgency and necessity of the protection and renewal of Qingcheng Town. The third chapter analyzing the specific principles of Qingcheng town protection:integrity, authenticity and continuity principle, putting forward concrete protection method on three aspects, they are history environmental protection, urban renewal and architecture construction. Through the specific design of the town, we resolved the protection principle and method in the practice process. Chapter four summarized the specific strategies for protection of Qingcheng town planning. We classified the construction and environment, summarized the implementation work on whole network, historical streets, building yard and ecological environment aspects, and carried on more summary on theory.The last part is chapter five, here we carried on the conclusion of the full text. Firstly, based on the analysis of specific project situation and strategy, and then from the point of continuation and development on historical context, we summarized the applicability of historical towns protection method.We take Qingcheng as an example, in order to extend to the protection of all national historical towns, and expanded from individual characteristics to group research. Through generalizing the methods of protection and renewal of historic towns, we hope to provide experience and reference for the investigation of protect other similar historical towns.
