Agro-forestry is an effective way to improve the land use efficiency, save resources,improve the environment, promote the healthy and stable development of forestry and agricultureand increase foresters incomes. Poplar plantation area in Baguazhou is more than5000mu, soabundant forest resources provide vast development space for the compound management. Thispaper selects12kinds of typical management modes in Baguazhou to illustrate the keytechnology and evaluate the comprehensive benefits.This paper analyses and evaluates the comprehensive benefits of each model by using theAnalytic Hierarchy Process, selects12indicators of economic benefits, ecological benefits andsocial benefits and then determines the combined weights of each indicator and sort them. Therelated data is obtained by the method of visiting technician, outdoor measurements, foresters’sinvestigation combined with the statistical data related.In the comparative analysis of economic benefits, corn belongs to the high stalk crops, andcompetes for sunlight and fertilizers with the poplar trees.So poplar-wheat-corn multipleoperation mode’s poplar timber yield is the least among all modes. Each mode’s average annualvalue of output is much higher than pure poplar forest land,which is7500yuan/hm2.Poplar-pleurotus multiple operation mode’s average annual value of output is highest among all,which is313920yuan/hm2and followed by poplar-agaricus bisporus mode. Poplar-grain mode’sannual average investment is less, but poplar-edible fungi mode’s and poplar-pasture-livestock(fowl) mode’s is much. Poplar-poplar-agaricus bisporus mode’s average annual income159000yuan/hm2is the highest, followed by the poplar-pleurotus mode whose annual income is153220yuan/hm2.The quantitative values of each multiple operation mode’s comprehensive benefit issignificantly higher than pure poplar forest mode. Poplar-edible fungi mode andpoplar-greenhouse vegetables mode are relatively ideal. Poplar-rape-soybean mode is the bestamong the poplar-grain modes; and there is no difference between the two poplar-greenhousevegetables modes. Poplar-ryegrass-goose is better between the two poplar-pasture-livestock(fowl) modes. The poplar-agaricus bisporus mode’s quantitative values of economicbenefit, social benefit and the comprehensive benefit are all the highest, followed by thepoplar-pleurotus mode. We can see that poplar-edible fungi modes should be promoted as theadvantage modes by the government. Each quantitative value of pure poplar forest mode is theworst, which shows the necessity of compound management of poplar.Based on the maximization of the comprehensive benefits, the best poplar multipleoperation modes of the southwest corner of Baguazhou Island are worked out. We choosepoplar-rape-soybean mode for the first year, poplar-greenhouse-tomato mode or poplar-greenhouse-shepherd’s purse mode for the2nd-3rd years, and poplar-agaricus bisporusmode for the4th-8th years. Without considering the time value of money, the average annual costof two kinds of models is less than80000yuan/hm2and the pure benefit is more than110000yuan/hm2, the average number of comprehensive benefits is more than0.7.We conclude that thecomprehensive benefits are very ideal.
