In the modern agricultural development, knowledge and information havebecome essential resource and development momentum in agricultural production.Producers are increasingly eager to learn the information related to agriculturalfarming, however, the existing agricultural information couldn’t be released quicklyand accurately, which make agricultural production lack of science, being endowedwith certain one-sidedness and blindness, thus to affect the development of ruraleconomy. The above problems can be solved along with rapid development ofcomputer technology, network technology, and geographic information systemtechnology in recent years. Particularly, a nationwide project of “soil testing andformulated fertilization and fertility evaluation” launched by the Ministry ofAgriculture has provided a number of valid data for the construction of informationtechnology, and agricultural information dissemination system established by its resulthas also been developed along with it, it has been applied to web pages and WebGISand other technologies, to make agricultural information achieve better and broaderrealization and application in China.There are mainly following aspects in research contents:(1) This paper takes Wuhu County as the study area, to study databasetechnology, GIS technology, WebGIS technology and others, focusing on the studyabout the application of WebGIS in agricultural information system, with integrateduse of Access database, SQL Server database, KanqGIS and AJAX and othertechnology, to establish an agricultural information database containing a largenumber of spatial data and attribute data in Wuhu County, and has designed anddeveloped Wuhu agricultural system and soil&fertilizer management system basedon WebGIS. It will show the users agricultural information in Wuhu County by meansof web page. And with the mode of soil and fertilizer management system, exhibit thedistribution of soil nutrients, soil fertility evaluation and others to staffs of agriculturaldepartment.(2) This system achieved seamless connection of attribute data and spatial datathrough the introduction of meta-data mechanism and the creation of innovativespatial database index mechanism, and has adopted Tile Map Depot constructed bybased on map tile service framework, thus to greatly improving the efficiency ofsystem in data retrieval, to achieve data customizing by system; the link changes of graphic data and attribute data.(3) This paper has designed agricultural information system framework in detail,established system structure, system technical architecture and function modulestructure, to achieve the web pages query of agricultural information, rightsmanagement of system, administrative area management with functions of navigationand locating, and tools management with basic functions, such as query andmeasurement, and other functions, integrated with messaging platform’s interfacetechnology of secondary development, to achieve sending the results of spatialanalysis in the form of short messages to the farmers, making the overall system morehumane.Based on the above information, the research content of this paper has integratedwith various technical means, including computer, network services, databases, andGIS and others, to achieve network sharing for a large number of agriculturalinformation, which has a friendly and simple interface for fast and convenientoperation, comprehensive agricultural information, spatial data with high accuracyand others. Establishment of system integration makes agricultural managementpersonnel closer to each producer, to provide timely and accurate information servicefor producers, which not only makes the project’s result being used widely, but alsopromotes the development process of agricultural modernization.
