Cashmere is the precious textile raw materials, which is greatly demanded in the internationalmarket with the high foreign exchange earning capacity, having the laudatory title of―soft gold‖.For a long time, the cashmere goat breeding has become the channels of peasants and herdsmen toget rich, cashmere is the traditional export commodities of China. Liaoning cashmere goats as the finelocal cultivation varieties have the features of high cashmere production capacity, high rate of net velvet,long cashmere fiber, moderate fineness of cashmere, genetic stable performance and improvedlow-yielding goats effect significant. Liaoning cashmere goats has been extended to all of cashmeregoat breeding area in China and has the a special status in China’s cashmere goat industry. In the list ofGermplasm Resources protection in China, Liaoning cashmere goats are listed on the first to need toprotection, as also the one of the few species which our government prohibited from exportation.However, with the population growth, the deterioration of the ecological environment, the introductionof exotic species and biotechnology applications, Liaoning cashmere goats are facing some of theproblems of liking resource conservation and industrial development and utilization in varying extent,especially the protection of as the national agricultural products which with the feature of geographicalindications and brand building aspects, it is in urgent need to explore a model of sustainabledevelopment.In this paper, the Liaoning cashmere goat is the research object, the main line of this research isresource protection and development and utilization of Liaoning cashmere goats, through the ways thatcombination of literature and empirical research and of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis toperform the study. In this study, through analyzing the origin of resources, breeding history, germplasmcharacteristics, feeding and management, industrial development of Liaoning cashmere goat,exploringthe protection of Liaoning cashmere goats agricultural resources and protection of intellectual propertyrights, as well as the paths and patterns of industrialization of agriculture development and utilization,providing valuable suggestions for resource advantage into economic advantage of Liaoning cashmeregoat, and some certain value of the policy recommendations for promoting the development ofregional agriculture and rural economy.
