Within the overall context of increasingly fierce market competition and much more diversified market demand, there is a shift toward make-to-order, multi-varieties and small batch production mode in tractor manufactories. In the process of change, although MRPII and ERP system, in a certain extent, improve the level of production management, due to the complexity of workshop production, it is difficult for these systems to integrate with job shop scheduling. Job shop scheduling is the key to shorten production cycle and realize high-efficient production. The science and effectiveness of job shop scheduling will have a direct impact on economic benefit of enterprises. Therefore, the research about job shop scheduling algorithm based on TOC and job shop scheduling information system embedded this algorithm would make a big difference.The study is on job shop scheduling of A corporation’s tractor production. First, through analysis of main problems existing in the tractor workshop production, TOC theory is used to improve the unreasonable factors in the processes of production planning management and job shop scheduling. Secondly, for backward way of job shop scheduling, strong subjectivity, information feedback is not timely, researching job shop scheduling algorithm based on TOC. The algorithm uses matrix method to identify bottlenecks, adopts dynamic batch method and pull, in-turn, push approaches in the processes before, on and after the bottleneck respectively. Subsequently, generating the scheduling based on process-level and Gantt chart based on device-level, then accordingly arranging production. Thirdly, the overall system framework is structured. Then based web platform and B/S mode, software engineering and database technology are utilized to achieve system’s various functions steadily. Finally, after tested and debugged, the job shop scheduling system is put into use in A corporation. The results show that the system has simplified the procedure of production planning management, improved the efficiency of job shop scheduling and optimized the results of job shop scheduling effectively. The implementation effect achieves the desired goal.The research provides an effective and scientific method for job shop scheduling in tractor manufactory. Proven, the job shop scheduling system embedded this method helps to improve the level of enterprise’s production management, reduce the labor intensity of planner, ensure balanced production between bottlenecks and non-bottlenecks, make the results of job shop scheduling both has science and feasibility.
