Pleurotus ostreatus was one of the biggest cultivation size and thehighest consumption content in china. As the industrial production of Pleurotusostreatus has extending year after year, the shortage of cultivation resource has becomeapparent, so there is a sharp need for the development of new cultivation media inPleurotus ostreatus cultivation. To resolve these problems, we carried out the researcheson the influence of cottonseed hull, corncob, beanstalk, cottonstalk chips, mushroomresidue of Flammulina velutipes on the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus,The majorresults are as follows:1. Each of the media: cottonseed hull, corncob, beanstalk, cotton stalk chips, mushroom residue of Flammulina velutipes, was used as the solo media for Pleurotusostreatus cultivation research. Results showed that the moisture content and pH of thefive media were different at different growth stages of Pleurotus ostreatus. The hyphaegrowth vigor and biological efficiency differed sharply according different media. When soybean stalks was used, mycelia of Pleurotus ostreatus grew most fastly, being8.87mm/d. When corncob was used, mycelia of Pleurotus ostreatus grew most slowly, being only6.12mm/d. When beanstalk and cottonseed hull were used, Pleurotusostreatus had a stronger growth vigor and higher biological efficiency.2. Compared with cottonseed hull, different proportions of corncob were added to themedia. Results showed that mycelia of Pleurotus ostreatus grew most slowly on purecottonseed hull, and Pleurotus ostreatus had a latter fruiting time; when the corncobproportion was40%, the biological efficiency was highest, reaching103.78%.3. Compared with cottonseed hull, different proportions of soybean stalks were addedto the media. Results showed that mycelia growth could be promoted and a higherbiological efficiency was got when beanstalk was added to cottonseed hull. When thesoybean stalks proportion was80%, mycelia had the strongest vigor, and the biologicalefficiency was highest, reaching104.88%.4. Compared with cottonseed hull, different proportions of cotton stalk chips wereadded to the media. Results showed that mycelia growth could be promoted and a higher biological efficiency was got when cotton stalk chips was added to cottonseedhull. When the cotton stalk chips proportion was60%, the best growth vigor was got,and the biological efficiency was highest, reaching96.38%.5. Compared with cottonseed hull, different proportions of mushroom residue ofFlammulina velutipes were added to the media. Results showed when the proportionwas40%or50%, mycelium growth speed was faster, being8.73mm/d and8.57mm/d,when mushroom residue of Flammulina velutipes proportion was40%, the best growthvigor was got, and the biological efficiency was highest, reaching97.14%.
