Cymbidium goeringii and Cymbidium faberi are the traditional varieties of Chineseorchids with the double value of ornamental and economic benefits. The research was basedon the troditional Cymbidium goeringii and Cymbidium faberi varieties imported from YunNan and Si Chuan province by Taishan Forestry Academy. The researches mainly includedthe following aspects: The firest was to explore the parental affinity of intraspecific andinterspecific by the way of hybrid breeding. The second was to measure the growth conditionsof the Successful hybrid fruits. The third was to identify the highest induction rate period ofthe seed embryoes with different growth states. The major objective was to establish the rapidpropagation system of the hybrid breeding by the method of full-factor approachnon-symbiotic germination studies rhizomes obtained. And the last step was to formulate thehardening and transplanting matrix which was affordable ang effective.The results are shown as below:The intraspecific and interspecific hybridization between Cymbidium goeringii andCymbidium faberi got20combined hybrid fruit, a total of65pods. The seed setting ratereached100%, and fruit rate of100%on the pollination between Cymbidium goeringii andCymbidium goeringii. The seed setting rate reached75%, and fruit rate of100%on thepollination between Cymbidium faberi and Cymbidium faberi. The seed setting rate reached87.5%, and fruit rate of85.7%on the pollination between Cymbidium goeringii andCymbidium faberi. The high rate harvest of hybrid fruit, indicated that the affinity betweenhybrid parents was high. The phenomenon of corolla color deepened, ovaries swell, and dryCorolla, the stigma curved inwards closed after pollination was the successful hybrid symbol.The vertical and horizontal growth of hybrid fruits showed a typical single S-curve. Thechanges of longitudinal diameter growth was small within30days after pollination for it wasthe period of pollen germination, ovary cells in mitosis and megasporogenesis. It just was thetime for a large of nutrient supply which reslute in slow growth. The changes of longitudinaldiameter and transverse diameter growth were fast within45-120days after pollination for thehybird fruit were in logarithm growth period. At this stage the megaspore was in meiosis toformation embryo sac and transferred the accumulation of nutrients to the growth of thehybrid fruit. The hybrid fruit cells grew rapidly after135days’ pollination, and the growth oflongitudinal diameter and transverse diameter tended to slow for ovary cells in slow mitotic. At this period the hybrid fruits slowed down the absorption of water and nutrients while therespiration and transpiration would produce a certain consumption.To obtain hybrid progeny plants at a short period of time, suitable capsules harvested andmost suitable basic medium were the most important factors.135-165days was theappropriate harvest period time for the hybrid fruits of ‘Ru yi su’בJi yuan’,135-150days wasthe appropriate harvest period time for the hybrid fruits of ‘Wen zhou su’בDa yi pin’,150-165days was the appropriate harvest period time for the hybrid fruits of ‘Da fugui’בWen zhou su’. The basic medium B11was the best one for the3hybrid crosses’germination.‘Ru yi su’בJi yuan’ the best proliferate medium for rhizome is1/2MS+NAA5.0mg/L+6-BA0.5mg/L+AC2g/L+Agar7g/L+Sugar20g/L, the best differentiate medium for rhizomeis1/2MS+NAA0.5mg/L+6-BA2.0mg/L+Agar7g/L+Sugar20g/L;‘Wen zhou su’בDa yi pin’the best proliferate medium for rhizome is MS+NAA0.5mg/L+6-BA0.1mg/L+Sugar20g/L+Agar7g/L+2g/LAC, the best differentiate medium forrhizome is MS+NAA1.0mg/L+6-BA2.0mg/L+Suger20g/L+Agar7g/L;‘Da fu gui’בWen zhou su’the best proliferate medium for rhizome is W+NAA1.0mg/L+6-BA1.0mg/L+Agar7g/L+Sugar20g/L+AC2g/L, the best differentiate medium forrhizome is W+NAA0.5mg/L+6-BA2.0mg/L+Suger20g/L+Agar7g/L;The best rooting medium for the three crosses is MS+NAA1.0~2.0mg/L+6-BA1.0mg/L+Agar7g/L+Sugar20g/L+CW100ml/L+2g/L AC. Under this condition, the number of thenew adventitious roots and effects of root length are the best.The best substrate for living and growing of tissue culture seeding is Xian soil,Medicalstone,Coconut Shell,Pine needle and grass charcoal(15%:30%:25%:15%:15%). Thesurvival rate,the quality of new roots are the best, and the diseases anf insect pests are theleast.
