There is great significance to generalize shelter cultivation techniques, a branchof grape planting, for both planting and producing of the grapes, however, there is noresearch concerning application in northern China. There have been surveys showthat shelter cultivation techniques are widely used both at home and abroad. It willsignificantly prevention the disease by improving the center link of the technologyaccording to the circumstances, while advancing the application of the sheltercultivation techniques in grape planting in northern China. This article focused on theapplication of these techniques, and preliminary discussed about the grape diseases, the fruit quality as well as the basic characteristics of the photosynthetic, so thatdraws the following conclusions:1.Downy mildew morbidity of both the shelter semi quantity group and theopen field normal group is at around5%, while the open field semi quantity group isat around10%. White rot morbidity of both the shelter semi quantity group and theopen field normal group is at around10%, while the open field semi quantity group isat around20%. The statistical survey of the disease has led to the conclusion that theshelter cultivation mode is very suitable for disease control of the grapes in the rainyseason. The downy mildew on leaves and the white rot of the fruits are wellcontrolled, and with fewer drugs dose the cost of production reduced.2.Compared with the open field cultivation, the shelter cultivation grapes growbetter, the average spike weight and the average single grain weight is37.2g and0.12g higher respectively, and the contents of the soluble sugar and the soluble solid donot change too much, while the content of anthocyanin and titratable acid is slightlylower, but there were no significant differences in fruit quality.3.Shelter cultivation has a certain influence on light intensity. Relative peakvalue of the net photosynthetic (Pn) rate, stomatal conductance (Gs) and theintercellular CO2concentration is1.85μmol·m-2·s-1,0.03cm·s-1, and15μmol·mol-1lower, respectively. The allover level of these indexes is keeping steady, which is consistent with open field cultivation, and will have no influence on thephotosynthesis of the grape leaf.Depending on the preliminary study, shelter cultivation mainly contributes to thedisease prevention, and basically achieved the purpose of this exploration, and shedlight on future researches and generalization.
