Objective: Taking the medicinal material of Angelica sinensis Radix in Gansu as the object ofstudy in the thesis.At present, in view of origin dry processing method of Angelica sinensisRadix no uniform. The phenomenon such as disorderly sulphur fumigation, resulting inAngelica sinensis Radix the SO2content exceed the standard. Seriously affect the quality ofAngelica sinensis Radix medicinal materials. There is no more scientific and effective dryingmethod. Completely remove sulphur fumigation processing habits in the short term, there is acertain degree of difficulty. While maintaining the traditional process on thebasis,improvement of existing processing in producing area drying method. After dryingAngelica sinensis Radix indexes composition content of ferulic acid, polysaccharide andvolatile oil were determined by modern analyzing technology, analysis of volatile oilcomponents by GC-MS.To determine the best processing method in producing area of dryingof Angelica sinensis Radix, establish Angelica sinensis Radix origin processing and establishthe method to control the quality of Angelica sinensis Radix after the process drying.Theprocessing way of origin-sulphur fumigation of Angelica sinensis Radix werestudied.Meanwhile different parts of sulfur smoked Angelica sinensis Radix’s indexcomponent content changes were studied.Different moisture content and different sulfuringtime sulphur fumigation of Angelica sinensis Radix the SO2residue were studied. The SO2residue decay made the certain research.Methods: By processing status of the origin of Gansu genuine medicine Angelica sinensisRadix research, collected Angelica sinensis Radix samples. The samples were processed byseveral origin common methods of Angelica sinensis Radix, and comparative study of theresulting Angelica sinensis Radix samples traits. According to the Pharmacopoeia of thePeople’s Republic of China (version2010), determining the content of moisture,extract,volatile oil and ferulic acid in different drying metheds of Angelicae sinensis Radix.Volatile oil components analyzed by Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. By UV-Vismethod, assaying polysaccharide content in Radix Angelicae sinensis Radix from differentdrying metheds and confirming the determination method of polysaccharide.Study the originprocessing of sulfur smoked influence the quality ofAngelica sinensis Radix.Results: By description of shape, size (length of the whole Angelicae sinensis Radix, lengthof the taproot, diameter), surface feature, cross-section, texture and smell of Angelica samplesof different drying methods,comparing their similarities and differences. The moisture contentis from6.95%to9.10%;the extract content is from55.49%to69.43%; the volatile oil content from0.41%to0.53%; the ferulic acid content from0.074%to0.153%;the polysaccharidecontent from10.98%to13.68%. Also it can be found that all the extract content, volatile oilcontent, erulic acid content of different drying methods of Angelica sinensis Radix samplesare higher than that required in Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China.The content of ferulic acid in different pharmaceutical parts of Angelicae sinensis Radixdecreased obviously after sulphur fumigation, and the contents of ferulic acid in the lateralroot was the highest than the other, the head of root was the lowest. To study differentmoisture content and different sulfuring time sulphur fumigation of Angelica sinensis Radixfound, when the moisture content control in15%,25%,35%respectively, smoked sulfur timerespectively control within21h,15h,9h,Angelica sinensis Radix smoked sulfur after SO2residual content is less than the current industry standard of150mg/kg. Sulfuring Angelicasinensis place2years after, besides moisture content of65%and smoked within12h smokedsulfur Angelica sinensis Radix, the rest were above the industry standard of150mg/kg, mostdecay to zero.Conclusion: Comprehensive analysis,the content of extract,volatile oil,ferulicacid,polysaccharides in different drying methods of Angelica sinensis Radix samples and theGC-MS results of volatile oil, combined with the actual situation of Angelica origin,production area processing of Angelica sinensis Radix is best to dry in the shade. Secondly isdry in the sun and traditional smoke dry. The processing of Angelica sinensis Radix dry in theshade and dry in the sun has little effect on chemical composition of Angelica sinensis Radix.The processing of dry in the shade requires broad field and consumes longer time. Because offuel shortages, and pollution the environment the processing of traditional smoke dry use less.Hot air drying need much cost to purchase equipment. It does not apply to individual farmers.Pharmaceutical companies, processing enterprises Pieces can be processedAngelica sinensisRadix by hot air drying.Set up the production area processing technology ofAngelica sinensisRadix dry in the shade and dry in the sun and quality control methods. To ensure the qualityof medicine and clinical effect, attention should be paid to Chinese angelica SulphurFumigation processing.The study provided a basis for the further studies origin drying processofAngelica sinensis Radix and the overall evaluation of the quality ofAngelica sinensisRadix.
