Objective:Research the acupuncture treatment of soothing the liver and tonifying the spleen method of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome patients’serum5-HT, NPY and CGRP level changes. And evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture treatment. Analyse the correlation of the influence of acupuncture treatment of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome patients’serum5-HT, NPY and CGRP level changes with the clinical efficacy. Evaluate the effects of acupuncture on the brain-gut interactions. Methods:By the method of randomized parallel-group trial,66patients with IBS-D will be randomly divided into two groups, among them, the acupuncture treatment group33cases, drug control group33cases; Using ELISA method to detect the serum5-HT, NPY and CGRP level of30healthy subjects and patients with IBS-D before and after treatment. Observe the clinical symptom and life quality improvement of two groups of patients before and after treatment and the treatment after3months follow-up.Results:1. The susceptible people of IBS-D tend to be young and middle-aged patients, and59%of patients there is mental stress and anxiety state with them.2. The5-HT, NPY and CGRP levels of serum in patients with IBS-D compared with that in healthy subjects were increased, suggesting that patients with IBS-D brain-intestinal peptide level in the body in a state of abnormally high expression (P<0.01); brain-gut interactive function disorder imbalances;3. Both groups can make the levels of patients’serum5-HT, NPY and CGRP drop, the5-HT and NPY levels change in the treatment group have obvious difference compared with before treatment, there is statistical significance (P<0.05);4. The three projects, healthy concerns (Q4), social response (Q6) and the opposite sex concept (Q7) in the patient quality of life scale, improve obviously, and the treatment group is superior to the drug group, with significant difference (P<0.05);5. The acupuncture treatment of soothing the liver and tonifying the spleen method can significantly improve the clinical symptoms in patients with IBS-D, improve patients quality of life in different degrees, the overall effect is better than that of the durg control group (P<0.05),but the two groups of clinical cure rate is low. Conclusion: 1. The acupuncture treatment of soothing the liver and tonifying the spleen method can reduce patients’5-HT, CGRP levels, alleviate the degree of abdominal pain and abdominal discomfort, it has to do with acupuncture treatment reduces visceral sensitivity in patients with intestinal dynamic disorder and relationship, regulate the brain-gut interactive function imbalance;2. Acupuncture treatment may regulate NPY of antagonise stress, stable emotional response in some way.
