Objective:To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C),CD105and RhoC correlates with invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer and it’srelationship between the availability of relevant. Methods:Immunohistochemistry were applied to detect the expression of VEGF-C,CD105and RhoC in the tissues of62cases gastric cancer and their pairedsurrounding normal tissues.Results:1. The positive expression ratios of VEGF-C in gastric cancer tissues and incontrol group were53.2%(33/62) and8.1%(5/62),and significant differences werefound between the two groups (P<0.01). The expression of VEGF-C protein in gastriccancer had significant correlation with lymph node metastasis, TMN staging of tumor(P<0.01),while no significant difference were found in gender, age, the size of tumor, histological grade and the depth of invasion (P>0.05).2. The positive expression ratios of CD105in gastric cancer tissues and incontrol group were88.1%(52/62) and11.3%(7/62),and significant differences werefound between the two groups (P<0.01). The expression of CD105protein in gastriccancer had significant correlation with the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasisand TMN staging of tumor (P<0.01),while no significant difference were found ingender, age, the size of tumor and histological grade (P>0.05).3. The positive expression ratios of RhoC in gastric cancer tissues and in controlgroup were75.8%(47/62) and22.6%(14/62),and significant differences were found between the two groups (P<0.01). The expression of RhoC protein in gastric cancerhad significant correlation with the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, TMNstaging of tumor (P<0.01),while no significant difference were found in gender, age,the size of tumor, the depth of invasion and histological grade (P>0.05).4. Both expression of VEGF-C and RhoC protein had positive correlation withthe expression of CD105protein (rs=0.468and rs=0.367, P<0.01), while nocorrelation was found between the expression of VEGF-C and RhoC protein (rs=0.150,P>0.05).Conclusion:1. The expression of VEGF-C, CD105and RhoC protein in gastric cancer weresignificantly higher than those in normal tissues, The expression of VEGF-C proteinin gastric cancer had significant correlation with lymph node metastasis and TMNstaging of tumor and the expression of CD105and RhoC protein had significantcorrelation with the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, TMN staging oftumor, which suggests that play an important role in vasion and metastasis of gastriccancer.2. Both expression of VEGF-C and RhoC protein had positive correlation withthe expression of CD105protein, which suggests that they may play a cooperativerole in the invasion, metastasis and proliferation process in gastric cancer.
